Benson Garrett is a Senior Associate at the Haffner Law Firm, specializing in catastrophic personal injury, insurance bad faith, and class action lawsuits.  Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Garrett focused on defending private and public entities in premises liability, personal injury, and employment cases.  In 2018 he successfully defended a city in Los Angeles County and obtained a complete dismissal of a class action lawsuit filed against the city in federal court.

Over the course of his career, Mr. Garrett accumulated extensive experience in civil litigation representing both plaintiffs and defendants on individual and corporate levels.  In 2009, Mr. Garrett represented numerous plaintiffs affected by the Los Angeles Station Fire, the largest wildfire to date in the history of Los Angeles County.  As a result of the Station Fire, Mr. Garrett litigated a mass-action bad faith lawsuit against a major insurance company for failing to provide adequate insurance coverage benefits to homeowners.

In 2003, Mr. Garrett graduated from Seattle University School of Law.  During law school he received first place in oral arguments in appellate advocacy.  He also served as a certified law clerk with the Public Defender’s office, representing accused individuals and children.   Prior to law school, Mr. Garrett received his B.A. in History at the University of Southern California in 1999.  He is a Los Angeles City native and speaks Spanish fluently.  In his free time he enjoys spending time with his wife and two sons.

He is admitted to practice in the State of California and the Central District of the United States District Court.  If you have been injured or have any questions regarding your legal rights, please feel free to give Mr. Garrett a call.
